Pillar of Light in The Sky Latvia



This remarkable photograph is a photograph of a mysterious pillar of light that leads to the sky above the town of Sigulda, Latvia. This photo was taken by Aigar Truhins with standard digital cameras. This photo was eventually received overwhelming response from amateur astronomers in cyberspace.


Truhins said, "My son said, Alien was heading for Earth!"

"Most do not look like that." He added.

But experts have a more scientific explanation - ice crystals in the air. The air above the city is quite cool and filled with ice crystals that are trapped.

Pillars of light is believed to form from the bright street lights and reflected in the air filled with ice Kristel.

The sky across Europe have met with this phenomenon since the cold climate that swept the country.

Scientists at the website spaceweather.com says: "Pillars Truhin not the usual kind, even leading experts can not explain with certainty. Pillar is indeed mysterious, the pillars have a curved top and even formed a half circle on the bottom."
"We do not know for sure - so just keep photographing the night sky!"
